This year, the Anaheim Convention Center buzzed with excitement as it welcomed professionals from across the housing industry for the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) 2024. For the first time, we at inBuild had the privilege of exhibiting at this esteemed event, and the experience was nothing short of rewarding.

The Event

Spanning two days, from June 19 to June 20, PCBC 2024, produced by the California Building Industry Association in collaboration with Leading Builders of America, showcased a blend of art, science, and business in housing. The event returned to its second-year venue in Anaheim, California, offering attendees a unique blend of educational and networking opportunities set against the backdrop of sunny Southern California. With Disneyland right across the street, the venue provided a perfect mix of business and pleasure.

What Was New?

Kim DeWeese, Vice President of Events and Operations at PCBC, highlighted several exciting additions to this year's conference. Notably, the Live Burn Demo presented in partnership with the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety and Anaheim Fire & Rescue showed real-time wildfire resilience. The Innovation Hub and Stage brought forward dynamic presentations on new technologies, while the introduction of Spotlight Kiosks provided a platform for innovative startups in the home-building industry.

inBuild's First Exhibition

As newcomers to PCBC, we at inBuild were thrilled to engage directly with industry leaders, innovators, and potential clients. Our booth became a hub for discussions on the latest in building technology and financial tools. We showcased our innovative solutions targeting the issues builders face with the accounts payable process and connected with like-minded professionals passionate about advancing the housing industry.

PCBC 2024 was rich with special events and educational sessions. The 'Rock the Block' event on June 19 and the Closing Night Party at Disney California Adventure Park on June 20 provided fabulous networking environments set against unforgettable entertainment. Educational tracks this year were particularly robust, covering topics from wildfire resiliency to consumer behavior and housing market fundamentals.

Keynote Inspirations

The keynote presentations by Bakari Sellers and Dr. Sahar Yousef was among the highlights of the conference. Sellers inspired attendees with his deep insights into America's societal challenges, while Dr. Yousef offered valuable strategies on enhancing productivity and cognitive performance.

Looking Forward

Reflecting on our first participation at PCBC, it's clear that the conference is a cornerstone for innovation and collaboration in the building industry. The insights gained and the connections made have left us energized and excited about the future of housing. We're already looking forward to what PCBC 2025 will bring.

As we continue to navigate the evolving landscape of the construction industry, events like PCBC are invaluable for staying ahead of trends, meeting the minds shaping our world, and, most importantly, contributing to a sustainable and innovative future. We hope to see you at the next one!
